NRHA horse competition licenses can now be processed at NRHA shows. There is important information you need to know to take advantage of this service.

Exhibitors/owners must have the appropriate paperwork. The horse's registration papers must have the same owner(s) listed as on the competition license appication and the owner(s) must be current NRHA members. For grade horses, 4 color photos (photos will not be returned) must accompany the competition license application.

The fees are:

  • Competition license for renewing member - $30 plus $30 rush fee for a total of $60.
  • Competition license for new or associate member - $30, no rush fee.

Competition license transfers can also be processed at NRHA shows. The original competition license must be used to send to NRHA. A temporary competition license will be given at the show. The new owner(s) must be a current NRHA member. If the original competition license is not available the individual(s) must contact the NRHA office for an affidavit before the show.

The fees are:

  • Competition license transfer, current or previous NRHA member - $25 plus $30 rush fee for a total of $55.
  • Competition license transfer, new or associate member - $25, no rush fee.

As this is a new service please let the show secretary at the NRHA show know you have competition license applications or transfers to process as soon as possible.

NRHA membership and Non Pro applications can be processed at NRHA shows, too. A reminder to Non Pro exhibitors: if your NRHA membership has expired for more than one year, you will need to complete another Non Pro application form and and submit a $25 payment.
